An update published by the VOA on planned improvements/changes to the CCA procedures and a covering note from Hugh Bower
Hon Secretary of the RSA
Hugh Bower is Business Rates Director at GL Hearn and Chair of the eComms Forum. The Forum acts on behalf of the Rating Surveyors Association, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation with the aim of developing digital services between ratepayers, professional firms and the Valuation Office Agency and Valuation Tribunal Service. He comments on the release of the timetable for the delivery of the Application Program Interface for the Check And Challenge process with the Valuation Office Agency systems as follows:
"It has been a source of considerable frustration within the rating profession that the delivery of a working API is overdue, however, I welcome the publication of the plan to deliver the API and recognise the commitment that is now being put into its successful implementation. The recent new impetus and collaborative approach to work between the developers in the private sector and the VOA/HMRC brings confidence of a successful outcome."
