We are pleased to announce that the next two RSA CPD events, free of charge to members, will take place on Tuesday 8 December 2026 at WSP, 70 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1AF and Wednesday 9th December at JLL, 4th Floor, One Centenary Way, Birmingham B3 3AY. We very much hope for a strong regional turn-out to enable further events outside of London to take place in 2027.
These events will be in-person only with registration from 4:30pm, and the CPD session commencing at 5pm. Both will be followed by an opportunity for informal networking between 6.00pm and 7.00PM, including drinks and canapes provided by the RSA.
This Festive CPD and Networking event will be a final opportunity for members to come together in 2026, and both sessions will be covering the following topic: 2026 Rating List: Where Are We Now?
We intend to provide an update on the current position for the 2026 Rating List and explore a range of issues affecting the business rates industry, including:
• The volume of CCA appeals and challenges, comparing the 2023 and 2026 Lists.
• Emerging ways of working through GPCRs and case programming.
• Current legal developments and valuation issues impacting the sector.
• Government policy announcements arising from the Budget and their implications for the rating profession.
• The anticipated timetable for implementation and industry activity during 2027.
